We are excited to announce that Ah Ma Kitchen is bringing our handmade sweet potato balls to AMK Hub from 4 to 17 May 2026. For two weeks, you can try our freshly prepared taro sweet potato balls and green bean soup right at the push cart booth -- no delivery wait, no minimum order.

Whether you live in Ang Mo Kio, work nearby, or are visiting AMK Hub for shopping, this is your chance to taste what hundreds of our delivery customers have been raving about -- served fresh and warm.

What We Are Serving at AMK Hub

Our push cart menu features the same recipes we prepare from our Hougang kitchen, made fresh daily with no preservatives and no artificial colours:

• Taro Sweet Potato Balls -- our signature QQ (chewy) sweet potato balls with a taro filling, freshly prepared and served warm. Soft, bouncy, and chewy with that distinctive mochi-like texture. Made with real sweet potato, real taro, and tapioca flour.
• Green Bean Soup with Sweet Potato Balls -- traditional Cantonese-style green bean soup, slow-cooked and naturally sweetened, served warm with our sweet potato balls. A classic comfort dessert.

Everything is naturally gluten-free, made with simple, whole ingredients, and prepared by hand. No factory production, no shortcuts.

Our push cart booth is located within AMK Hub (Ang Mo Kio Hub), the neighbourhood mall at 53 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, Singapore 569933. Look for the Ah Ma Kitchen signage near the main food and beverage area.

Sweet Potato Balls vs Tang Yuan: What Makes Ours Different

Some customers ask whether our sweet potato balls are the same as tang yuan (glutinous rice balls). They are actually quite different. Tang yuan is made from glutinous rice flour, typically served in a sweet soup during festivals like the Winter Solstice and Lunar New Year.

Our sweet potato balls are made from real sweet potato and tapioca flour, giving them a distinctive chewy texture (QQ) that is different from tang yuan's softer, more delicate bite. We also add a taro filling for extra flavour. Think of them as a modern take on traditional Taiwanese-style sweet potato balls, adapted for Singaporean taste preferences.
